At Obida Design Associates we believe that life is a journey and that it is good. Our firm’s ethos is rooted in the Yoruba notion of ‘la’lafia’; meaning wellness and all things good. This is what we carry into every space, every client meeting; every decision is to ensure the best quality of life for our clients.
Founded in 2011 in Lagos by Obida Obioha, the firm’s director, O’DA has developed a diverse clientele keen on well thought out design and well executed projects. With a focus on optimal use of space, an appreciation of the importance of light in a space, and design that is cohesive, O’DA delivers modern spaces with a dignified edge.
Obida Obioha trained in Italy and has a Masters in Interior Design and a Diploma in Product Design. He has a sharp eye for design that works. Inspired by both European modernity and African character, we mix minimalist lines with a warm touch. Discovering, shaping and delivering visions that are uniquely tailored to client’s lifestyle is what we do best. We are focused on making the entire journey of working with us from inception to final delivery a truly enjoyable experience for our clients. We do this through honest dialogue, transparency and individuality. We listen to our clients. We garner an understanding of their needs, their desires, their dreams and then we get to work with a diversified talent pool.
Our primary focus is tailored solutions for clients who seek a project that is made just for them – whether it be a private commission, a commercial space, or boutique hospitality project; it will always be one of a kind. O’DA has trained professionals, including designers, architects, civil engineers and our skilled construction teams. We rely on an extensive network of real estate agents, artisans, quantity surveyors, international and domestic manufacturers and suppliers. This network of professionals allows O’DA to deliver projects on time and on budget all over the world while controlling the execution in line with the design intent.
